Slovenia’s leading innovation cluster

Established nearly 25 years ago, TECES is a leading Slovenian innovation cluster, internationally recognised for its expertise in strategic development partnerships and projects focused on green technologies and energy-efficient solutions for both civil and defence sectors.

TECES’ core mission is to strengthen competencies, increase added value, and enhance the competitiveness of its members by fostering synergies and collaboration among businesses, research and technology organisations, institutions, governments, and end-users.

Over the past two decades, TECES has evolved from a technology centre into a trusted international partner and coordinator of large, multinational consortia. Within the European Defence Fund (EDF), TECES serves as the national Point of Contact (PoC) for energy resilience topics, actively integrating Slovenian partners into EDF initiatives, including acting as coordinator of EDF-2021-INDY and EDF-2024-SENTINEL.

In addition, TECES plays an active role in numerous initiatives and projects under the European Defence Agency (EDA), further strengthening its extensive international network and reputation as a reliable facilitator of collaboration between civil and defence sectors.

Joint Development and Value Chains

We drive collaboration among key stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem by initiating and coordinating joint R&D, innovation, and pilot technology demonstration projects. We connect value chain leaders, suppliers, solution providers, and end-users through strategic partnerships.

Internationalisation and International Cooperation

By actively participating in international associations, initiatives, and projects, we enhance the visibility of our members, open new business opportunities, and facilitate effective connections with the international environment.

Accessing Project Funding

We identify and secure domestic and international funding sources while supporting end-to-end project planning, administration and coordination. This streamlines the funding process, enabling our members to access resources more efficiently and implement their initiatives successfully.

Networking and Information Exchange

Through event organisation, targeted information exchange and various activities, we strengthen existing connections and encourage the creation of new synergies among members, partners, government representatives and other key stakeholders.

Cooperation with the Government

We ensure that our members’ needs are effectively integrated into national and EU support frameworks through proactive dialogue with government bodies and ministries, as well as active involvement in policy and strategy development.

We promote future-oriented professions and provide structured education, training and professional development programmes, equipping our members with essential skills and specialised knowledge.

What are Innovation Clusters?

Innovation clusters represent a form of organised collaboration within related industrial sectors and competencies in a specific region. They include innovative start-ups, small, medium, and large companies, research organisations, educational institutions, government representatives, and other stakeholders. The primary purpose of innovation clusters is to strengthen collaboration, networking and learning among members, and to provide specialised, user-adapted support services.
