About the Project
The project supports the defence sector in meeting EU sustainability goals by enabling the adoption of innovative, emission-reducing propulsion solutions. It addresses urgent challenges of climate impact, safety, standardisation, logistics, and supply chains in land and naval domains. Guidelines and roadmaps provide a structured approach to overcoming technological and organisational barriers. By fostering systematic use of sustainable fuel-based propulsion solutions, the project brings breakthrough potential for greener, more resilient, and future-proof defence operations.
Project Results
The expected results of the CALIPSO project include the definition of potential military applications and the identification of existing gaps for sustainable fuels. In addition, a virtual demonstration of innovative propulsion systems for hybrid land vehicles will be carried out.
