About the Project
The ALENOS2 project addresses the need for a reliable, resilient, and interoperable energy supply to support deployable military capabilities and operations in demanding tactical and operational environments.
The project addresses the challenges of integrating diverse energy sources, storage systems, and loads, ensuring energy, communications, and data resilience, and achieving interoperability among systems and equipment from different manufacturers.
The added value of the project lies in a comprehensive, modular, and intelligently managed multi-energy solution that integrates energy, data, communications, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence into tactical infrastructure, thereby creating strong breakthrough potential for dual-use applications, industrialisation, and entry into global markets.
Project Results
The primary outcome of the ALENOS2 project is the design, development, and demonstration of a comprehensive, intelligently managed, modular, and interoperable multi-energy solution for tactical infrastructure, integrating electrical power with energy storage systems, hydrogen, and liquid fuels.
Within the project, 14 final products will be developed, ready for industrialisation and dual-use applications, along with 6 specialised knowledge packages.
An RDI test and demonstration facility will be established to validate and showcase the solutions, including a tactical 5G system, advanced SoX diagnostics, artificial intelligence and integrated cyber-security mechanisms, thereby creating the conditions for further commercialisation and successful market entry.
